The Vaishno Devi Temple, also known as Vaishno Devi Mandir or Mata Rani Temple, is a popular Hindu temple located in the town of Katra in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Vaishno Devi, who is considered to be a manifestation of the goddess Durga. The temple is located on top of a hill called Trikuta and is reached by a 12-km long trek from Katra.

The temple is considered one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India, and is visited by millions of devotees each year. The trek to the temple is considered challenging, but is also seen as a way to purify the mind and body and attain blessings from the goddess. Along the trek, there are several other temples and shrines to visit, such as the Bhairon Temple and the Ban Ganga Temple. The trek can also be done by horse or by a helicopter.

The temple complex also offers various facilities for the devotees like accommodation, food and other facilities. The temple complex is also equipped with CCTV cameras for security and safety of the devotees. The temple remains open throughout the year, but the best time to visit is between the months of April to June and September to November, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are less.
